Roaring Run Waterfall |
Today started off
a little chilly but the weather turned out to be great. We all woke up and had
a great breakfast made by Sophia and Will. We then read an article, wrote about it, discussed it, and cleaned up camp a bit before we headed out. Today we couldn’t go out on the river because
of water levels, but Kyle and Georgia had a great plan B for us. We got picked
up by John Mays from Twin River Outfitters, hiked the roaring run waterfall trail, saw the hump back
bridge, and then saw another cool waterfall.

On the ride back
to camp most campers slept and ate all of the snacks. We were all hungry and
tired from the long day of hiking. Once we got back to camp we unloaded all of
the canoes for tomorrow, did our camp jobs and once we were all finished we had
time to relax and do what we wanted. Some played ultimate Frisbee, played
cards, and made a fire. Then our excellent camp cooks made hamburgers/
cheeseburgers, hotdogs, and veggie burgers for dinner. It was a great second day but we are all
ready to start paddling tomorrow!
