Day 3- Gala to Oxbow Farm
We woke up early (6am) to begin our long journey to Oxbow
Farm. Before setting of on our second leg we ate breakfast, stretched, and
discussed the groups plan for the day. Headed down river we passed bridges, water
mills, and class two rapids! We learned about electric shock fishing (from Jason at the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries) which is
a one way used to capture and study fish.
During
the class two rapids everyone took a chance, and left their canoes to swim the
rapids, of course Kyle Burnette our fearless leader checked it out first.
Finally at the end of our journey for the last few minutes we all floated
together to our camp site!
