Day One was just challenging enough to push the crew into Expedition Mode! Paddling for hours, rescuing a tipped canoe, getting used to the group dynamics, and sleeping through a chilly night in the Alleghenies were all struggles we had to contend with today. But the battle was well worth having the oppertunity to meet the Upper James in such an intimate way.
