Today we faced a grueling 13 mile paddle in some intense heat. Thankfully, we got a break just 2 miles in we when reached Bremo Power Station. There, we were given a thorough tour of the facilities by their awesome staff who answered all of our many questions. We were also provided with pizza, so all in all- an incredible break!
After that, we continued our paddling upriver, posing for the drone and videographer to ensure they were able to shoot us all looking our best. For the rest of our journey, we were able to enjoy a nice, peaceful paddle while encountering a handful of Class I and II rapids.
For dinner, we met Bray at Ellis Islands, where we enjoyed tacos over a conversation about energy and how it relates to the James. To cap off our great day, we were able to rest our heads on some soft sand- I know we all slept well!
